Priority Worldwide is seeking a long-term, reliable Cargo PRO with strong customer service skills, solid computer proficiency, and a team-oriented mindset to support our Dubai office, responsible for preparing, verifying, and processing documentation for cargo shipments handover, collection and clearance at airports, ports, and customs offices. Priority is a leading global freight forwarder headquartered in the USA, and this role is critical in ensuring the timely collection, processing, and delivery of documents for international shipments.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, and either experienced in or willing to learn all modes of international transportation, including customs regulations, documentation requirements, and country-specific compliance standards. Strong attention to detail, technical competence, and a willingness to learn are essential.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, Ideally within DNATA, DP World and customs operations
Valid UAE motorcycle driving license is mandatory
Strong customer service orientation with a results-driven approach
Proficient in written and verbal English communication
Proven team player with a cooperative attitude
Ability to foster strong relationships with Dubai Customs and government authorities
Good computer skills, with the ability to accurately process documentation and update shipment details
Experience using Calogi and Dubai Trade for documentation handling and shipment updates is strongly preferred
General Responsibilities and job duties:
Perform active messenger duties, including frequent travel to ports, airports, customs offices, government authorities, airlines, shipping lines, brokers, and client locations
Collect and deliver physical documents and shipment-related paperwork between offices, terminals, and authorities
Handle air, sea, and land shipments, ensuring timely movement and processing
Actively coordinate with customs, government, and legal authorities to support clearance processes
Prepare, submit, and update shipment documentation using Calogi while on the move or upon return to the office
Update shipment statuses and maintain accurate records in the system
Handle and support shipments of all types, including dangerous goods (DG) and perishables, at all ports, CFS terminals, docks, and airports
Use Calogi (Dubai Air Cargo portal), Dubai Trade, and airline booking systems to process and support shipments
Ensure all documentation adheres to IATA (International Air Transport Association) and GCAA (General Civil Aviation Authority) regulations
Monitor cargo acceptance and providing shipment status updates
Assist in preparing Master Air Waybills (MAWB), House Air Waybills (HAWB), invoices, packing lists, and Certificate of Origin.
Represent Priority Worldwide professionally while working off-site daily, ensuring strong communication and customer service
